3/23 was still an exciting day for the GTX!

Funnily enough, my Miata’s odometer is the only digital component of the analog dash (which makes the 80085 mileage very easy to ‘read’) and the GTX’s odometer is the only analog component of the digital dash!

THANK YOU for pointing this out because I would have been too dumb to think of this otherwise

That is one of the coolest ‘80s clusters I’ve ever seen.

Edit, apparently I’ve never popped my head inside one of these cars.

The digital dash ended up being a sort of rare option for the car. The fact that mine is working pretty much 100% is also notable it seems.

Most people prefer the more accurate analog dash, especially for racing, but I’m always charmed by the warm glow at night. That being said, the digital tach is quirky as balls. That gives me an idea. More to come soon.

It’s not as out-there as some of the other digital dashes of the era, but it’s plenty functional and readable while still looking pretty 80s-tactic. I quite like it.

A number of cars had digital dash options, which ended up being pretty rare today. Starion digital dash cars are super rare.

Yeah and the digital dash GTXs were a subset of the already limited 1,243 North American imports, so I suppose they are hard to come by. The guy I bought mine from also had a red one with an analog dash.
